When I take photos of my work a do a collage affect. My bird fetish is a replica of a crow and then tightly beaded with greasy yellow beads. Another parfleche knife case painted in the Sioux style. Also I have moose palm tacked cutting board.
I am an Artist that has worked on all mediums of visual expession. My latest works of art are on the Plains Indians Regalia. I have grown up under the smoke flaps of a Tipi in various seasons throughout the Rocky Mountain West. Chasing game behind my father walking many a miles stumbling along to keep up. Hunting deer, elk and bear with a muzzleloader spending months at a time on the high plains of Wyoming. Never wanting to leave these mountain ranges for the city where greenhorns thrive. Reinacting is a way of life. My artwork ranges from a simple graphic sketch to a well researched Plains Indian abstract painted Parfleche. I strive for natural materials, handmade rawhide, earth pigment, braintan skins and pre-1820 materials. Art and the mountains are a way of a exploration towards a simple life. Creating from natural materials as the First Peoples of the Plains is my artistic lifestyle today.
