This is a huge butcher knife made by the Foster Brothers circa 1850. I made the sheath to fit using an old upper missouri style beadwork pattern.

Parfleche Bag

This is painted with a Cheyenne style made from elk rawhide ans antelope tanned hide. Ive always avoided blue paint in the past but I'm starting to like it more.

Obsidian Napped Knife

Here is a blade I didn't knap but I attached the brain tan and beaded myself. This is an old style of knife that would have been used .

Willow Basket

This basket stands over 20 inches tall and made entirely of red river willow. I have a patch of willow I've been hacking on for 30 years. But this is my first willow basket. I plan to make a buffalo hide incised burden strap to finish it with.  Ten hours and sore fingers later I have a huge basket... If weather permits I plan to make another...

Belly Trimmed Grizzly Claws

Here are my replica claws I belly trimmed,  this is an old style claw technique that the Plains Indian used. I've seen many necklaces with trimmed claws I always thought they looked fierce !!

Ive been making parfleche since the age of 10. Since then I have fine tuned my skill. Surfing the internet I find things I made 20+ years ago... Long before I started taking pictures.. This box I winged a design and is probably is the 2nd box I ever made. Now it's labeled Cheyenne and has a price of triple of what I sold it as...

I re-traded for this on the bottom.The story goes that I made the bottom parfleche 25+ years ago, and he wanted a new parfleche wallet. So I made the top one for my used one. Now I collect my own art now !!!!!

My Venus of Willendorf.

I carved this Venus from a piece of steatite years ago. Long before a tool called dremel !!   I posed it with my sons hands. The Venus was a form of a fertility god in early man in the regions of Europe.

Homespun Ropes

I got a worm stuck in my head and well it worked... I made these at the Inlaws (thanks for letting me use there drill) over Christmas break. I took pillow ticking and calico cloth and twisted several ropes. Two pieces 28 foot long will make a 20 foot rope... 

Handforged Fish Hook Flies

I'm putting a fishing kit together here soon, got handforged hooks from my brother. I was messing around and took some red trade wool strips and wrapped it with silk thread... I never tied a fly before just looking for what a mountain man could have used...  I will post again when complete.
